Bed Bugs Overview
During the past ten years, bed bugs have been resurging and are now reported in the U.S., Canada, European countries, Australia and parts of Africa. They infest homes, hotels, hostels, cruise ships, trains, long-term care facilities, dormitories, apartments, schools, movie theaters, furniture rental outlets, and office buildings.
To date scientists have not found evidence that bed bugs transmit diseases to humans. But their bites cause itching and inflammation, and their presence can significantly reduce people’s quality of life by causing sleeplessness, anxiety, and embarrassment.
